Welcome to Insight Electrical Consulting & Training
Insight Electrical Consulting & Training Pty Ltd was established in 1999 by Bruce Blacker with a vision to help the electrical contracting industry and especially the small electrical contractor.
The vision has changed a little over time but has generally remained the same. Bruce felt that the electrical industry, as a whole, needed someone to take up their fight and help them on the little jobs. Insight Electrical Consulting & Training Pty Ltd’s idea was to become this organisation.
The vision was simple:
- To help the electrical contracting industry understand the requirements of the Wiring Rules, Service and Installation Rules and other regulatory requirements. This is being done by creating training courses, conducting seminars and producing a newsletter to help inform the electrical contracting industry and being available to step in and give help on projects when it is required.
- To promote to the electrical contracting industry that the supply authorities were not always right but that things could be fought and won and it was worth doing so. This has been achieved by discussing on electrical contractors’ behalf defects which have been issued and negotiating with the supply authorities their requirements to achieve a satisfactory outcome for the both the customer and the supply authority.
- To be involved with regular training of the electrical contracting industry. This has been achieved via training of the Level 2 Service Provider on behalf of the Hunter Institute of TAFE and various other training courses. Other training has included courses on AS/NZS 3000 "Wiring Rules", Service and Installation Rules of New South Wales and other documents.
- To be available to answer enquiries from the electrical contractor industry in regards to the Wiring Rules, etc in regards to a particular job. This is achieved by giving a service where a simple phone call can be used to discuss a problem and receive correct information as to the requirements of the Wiring Rules, etc.
- Supplying electrical safety equipment at a reasonable price.
The range of equipment able to be supplied is increasing all the time and prices are kept to ensure value for money.
